Product Information
Ice Gel contains 2% Menthol and Isopropyl Alcohol formulated in a smooth water based gel, which is easy to apply. When Menthol preparations are applied to the skin the blood vessels are dilated which causes a sensation of coldness followed by an analgesic effect. Menthol preparations are also useful to relieve itching. Provides temporary relief from muscle pain, arthritic pain and backache.
The product is particularly recommended for the use where sport related injuries or similar have occurred. First aid treatment to these injuries (e.g. sprains, strains, pulled muscles, bruises and similar problems) is to apply cold to these areas and Ice Gel is ideally suited for this application. It is desirable to apply liberally to the area affected and repeat the treatment as often as necessary. Application should be made as soon as possible after the injury to help relieve the pain and the swelling.
Ice Gel is water based and non-greasy and does not stain the clothes.

Health professionals have found that sitting in a slumped (kyphotic) manner can cause postural muscles to become tense and painful.
They also noticed that those same muscles could be relaxed quickly and easily by moving to another specific posture.
It was realized that this ‘relaxation’ was an automatic nervous system reaction; like having your kneecap tapped and then feeling your leg suddenly jump or twitch. However, instead of ‘firing’ muscles these particular reflexes selectively ‘switch off’ the tension prone postural muscles.
A European neurologist, Professor Brugger, first described this reaction. As part of his care he often recommended that people follow a body positioning routine - that they lengthen their spine, tuck their chin in slightly, turn their arms and legs out, and take slow breaths - to relax their tight muscles.*
